In my 3rd year at George Brown College in the graphic design program, I had the opportunity to work for the Student Affairs department part-time. That same year, George Brown College rebranded with a new look and feel.
Following their brand guidelines, I created marketing materials for student support such as informative sell sheets, event posters, welcome desk signage, bookmarks and more.
The biggest piece I got to work on that I was unable to get a copy of was a coil bound notebook that was provided to new students during orientation. From the cover design to all the insert ads within the notebook, I had the opportunity to take control of art direction and design.
Having a well-known institute such as George Brown College under my belt as a new graduate really helped kick-start my career in the design field.
